Mexican design
Mexican design
Opening a store as part of the museum's services aims not only to attract new audiences and resources for the institution but also to connect Robert Brady's work and legacy with the present day.
This curated selection of Mexican design pieces aligns with Brady’s principles of life and work, reflecting his appreciation for handmade items, originality, pieces with stories, cultural references, and diverse origins. Thus, we have set out to find brands, projects, and products from various states in the country that showcase the diversity and richness of contemporary Mexican craftsmanship, always in harmony with the founder's way of living, feeling, and working. The selection includes local materials, pieces crafted in collaboration with artisan groups, objects with histories and connections to traditional heritage, as well as innovative, contemporary proposals. Folk art from Morelos and pieces by artists and designers based in the region will also be part of this universe, which will continue to grow and evolve as the market expands and offerings increase.
Today, Mexican design is multicultural and wide-ranging, thanks to the integration and acceptance of traditional methods and influences, bringing them into conversation with contemporary practices. With this project, we aim to continue communicating Mexico's richness, creativity, and the many layers of culture that so captivated Robert Brady.
